About Peanut Butter Mom
Peanut Butter Mom is one person’s view of the Sandwich Generation from the front lines.
I’m lucky, my mother lives with us not because she needs constant care, but because we wanted her close to family after she retired. So this site isn’t about navigating Medicare resources and home-care options, it’s simply one family’s antics and adjustments while evolving as a 3 generation household.
Jelly Dad and I are in our 30’s and both work full-time. I’m also a student working toward my Masters degree.
My mom is in her mid 60s. She just moved in with us in 2005, and we are still working out our roles in our new family structure.
Princess - our big sister in the family - is 4 1/2 and a girly girl. Princesses, ballet lessons, Doodlebops, Caillou, JoJo’s Circus, puzzles, and anything chocolate are top on her list.
Trouble - our toddler - is 2 1/2 and determined to keep up with big sister. He loves anything with wheels - cars, trains, trucks, planes, buses, and fire engines. But his favorite past-time is making a mess for me to clean up and then making another just as I get the first one clean.
Family life, work life and school life keep me busy, but it’s what makes me smile everyday.
